Our executive management team has deep roots in the region, a broad range of experience in credit and finance, and the well-earned trust of our member/shareholders.
Jack W. Shuler – President and Chief Executive Officer
For more than 30 years Jack Shuler has been actively engaged in directing the future of ArborOne. He began his career with Farm Credit in 1974 as a loan officer trainee with the Palmetto Production Credit Association in Aiken, South Carolina. Since then he has served as branch manager, Chief Credit Officer and president of a number of associations in South Carolina and Georgia. Presently, he is President and Chief Executive Officer of ArborOne. Mr. Shuler earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from Clemson University where he was a member of Blue Key, and was named to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. He earned a masters degree in business from Webster University, is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University and of the banking school at Georgia Southern University.
Kathy S. Heustess – Chief Operating Officer
Kathy Heustess has been a part of the ArborOne team for over 20 years. Prior to joining Farm Credit in 1989 she acquired extensive experience in accounting and served as a corporate controller. Mrs. Heustess earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. She is an alumna of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University and holds Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
Richard Pitts - Chief Lending Officer
Richard Pitts began his career with Farm Credit in 2002. He earned both his Bachelor and Master of Science Degree in Agricultural & Applied Economics from Clemson University. While in college, Mr. Pitts was awarded both a State and National Honorary FFA Degree for his work with the FFA programs. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University, South Eastern Agricultural Lenders School and Leadership Development Program through Farm Credit Services of America.
Tammy G. Smith – Chief Financial Officer
Tammy Smith has been with ArborOne since 1991. She came to Farm Credit with a wide range of experience in both government and private business accounting and auditing. Mrs. Smith earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an accounting concentration from Francis Marion University. She is also a graduate of the South Carolina School of Banking and is presently working on her Masters in Accounting.
